OUR MISSION
At Zoe our mission is to train up the next generation of leaders and influencers, and to equip them with the tools and experience they need to lead. We focus on Theology, Ministry, and Leadership training, as well as crucial life skills.
We believe the next generation of leaders should be healthy people who have a vibrant relationship with Jesus as well as others. We believe that good character is a requirement for every leader, and we believe all leaders need to live what they preach whether it's in a sermon, a song, a film, a business or any other sector of society.
A Ministry of
As a ministry of Joy Church Medford, Zoe Interns have the opportunity to serve and receive hands-on training in practical ministry areas that are key to building the local church. Some of the serving areas are: youth and college ministry, worship, multimedia, video production, children’s ministry, service production, church administration, marketing, developing small groups, outreach, missions work and more!
Welcome to the Rogue Valley
The Rogue Valley is a great place to live! There are great coffee shops and restaurants, as well as shopping and entertainment. The Rogue Valley is also full of outdoor activities only a short drive away. In the summer there is hiking, camping, water skiing, as well as white water rafting in the Rogue River. In the winter there is outdoor ice skating and snow skiing on Mt. Ashland. The weather is quite temperate, but we get all 4 seasons. Medford is located only 30 miles from the border of California.

Schmelzer
Geno and Ali are both graduates of Zoe Interns and love getting to work so closely in the lives of each student. They have a passion for helping young leaders find their God-given passion and purpose.
Their life mission is to help people think better thoughts and believe that helping equip the next generation of leaders is a great way to do that. They are also passionate about the creative arts and feel a call to use all types of media to help people and point them to God.

Pastor Steve & Kim Schmelzer
Pastor Steve and Kim founded Joy Church in Medford Oregon 39 years ago in August of 1982. They have been faithfully serving God and pastoring the local church ever since. They truly believe in the next generation and have sought to pastor and empower them for over 3 decades! They are also the founders of Zoe Bible College founded 1992 And Zoe Interns Founded 2001.

Pastor Riley & Natalie Aman
Pastors Riley & Natalie Aman are the lead pastors of Joy Church Medford. Pastor Natalie was a Zoe graduate and former program director, and together with Pastor Riley, spend time training and teaching our students on a weekly basis.
They have a passion for seeing people of all ages encounter Jesus and pursue God's call on their lives.
